On July 12th, students of BNUZ’s School of Engineering Technology (SET) got the second place in the group ranking at Guangdong 1st Normal Student Teaching Skills Competition for Biology Major, which was organized by South China Normal University.

This competition was hosted by Department of Education of Guangdong Province, aiming to promote communication between higher education institutions and improve the teaching skills and cooperation skills of students who plan to be a teacher in the future. Since May 21st, it has received registration from over 200 students. After several rounds of competition, 54 contestants entered the final (6 contestants from each higher education institution). Adhering to the competition rules, the final is divided into four parts, namely teaching plan evaluation, presentation on teaching methods, mock teaching and Q&A. In the mock teaching section, contestants showed different teaching skills trying their best to engage more and more students to learn biology and fall in love with it.

Finally, Zhu Xiaoqing from BNUZ won first prize, Sun Xue, You Xinyue, Lai Siting, Sun Tong and Feng Chonglv from BNUZ got second prize.
