On January 14th, dean of the School of Applied Mathematics Honghai Mi, director of the Career Service Weiguo Yan, and the director of Practical Teaching Center Yibing Liu from the School of Applied Mathematics in BNUZ visited the world top 500 enterprises in Hong Kong to get to understand the international market, and discus the internship and employment situations for students.

At 10 o’clock in the morning, the BNUZ delegation first came to the headquarters of Netherlands International Group (ING) in Hong Kong, and received warmly welcome from the Regional Director of Sales Zhichao Lu. Mr. Yan expressed sincere thanks to ING for their help in providing valuable internship opportunities to BNUZ students, and introduced the situations of 2013 graduates. Discussion on developing long-term relationship was carried out, and preliminary intentions were further reached. Director Lu praised the performance of internship students from BNUZ. Dean Mi introduced majors of Financial Engineering and Risk Analysis in the School of Applied Mathematics, and listened to some professional suggestions from ING experts. Invitation was also offered to ING to visit the School of Applied Mathematics in BNUZ.

In the afternoon, the BNUZ delegation visited the Prudential Insurance Limited Company. The branch manager Lili Zhang offered warmly welcome. Miss Zhang firstly introduced their business scope and internship projects, and showed welcome to BNUZ graduates. Finally, Dean Mi gave a souvenir to the Prudential Insurance Limited Company, and invited Miss Zhang to visit BNUZ in the future for further communication.

This visit was carried out successfully, and reached its designed purposes for the employment of BNUZ graduates. Following this visit, BNUZ will further develop the cooperation projects on the basis of investing the requirement and operational features of companies, and the characteristics BNUZ graduates.
