From Jan. 9 to Jan. 11, Guangdong Conference on University Foreign Affairs & HK, Macao, Taiwan Affairs was held at Wuyi University. Related university staff from over 120 universities and colleges, Mr. WEI Zhonglin, vice head of Department of Education of Guangdong Province, as well as representatives from Hongkong and Macao Affairs Office of Guangdong Province and Office of Foreign Affairs participated in the meeting., Prof. Ailan FU, vice president of BNUZ, Dr. Chunyan GAN, director of Office of International Affairs of BNUZ attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Mr. WEI Zhonglin, vice head of Department of Education of Guangdong Province concluded the achievement got regarding overseas communication, foreign students studying at China etc. in the perspective of Department of Education of Guangdong Province and universities and colleges. He reviewed work in 2012 and raised main tasks for 2013.

As for the speech section for universities and colleges representatives, Prof. Ailan FU was invited by the conference to deliver a speech on BNUZ’s positioning, overview as well as featured projects such as 2+2 program, Harvard-Oxford-BNUZ program, international Chinese Studies. The achievement BNUZ got in the past 11 years since its establishment got appraisal from presented universities and colleges.

During the conference, annual meeting for Guangdong Education Association for International Exchange was held. It witnessed successful completion of the election of the Council for foreign experts management in Guangdong Institutions of Higher Learning. With outstanding achievement regarding international exchange and cooperation, BNUZ was added as one of the standing unit for the council.
