On July 12th, the 1st “Jialong Cup” Entrepreneurship Training Competition among Universities in Guangdong as well as completion on students’ entrepreneurship practice was successfully held in Room C108 of Leyu Building. After the strict selection via internet, there are totally eight teachers on entrepreneurship training entered this round. The judges of the competition are Zhou Zhiqiang, Head of Academic Division; Ren Baifei, Director of Office of Teaching Quality Assurance; Fan Daliang, Assistant to the Dean of School of Franchise Management; Tan Yunhui, Deputy Secretary of School of Information Technology’s General Party Branch and Yan Weiguo, Director of BNUZ’s Career Guidance Center, with Vice President Wu Zhongkui and Heads of careers division of all schools as honored guests.
Prof. Wu Zhongkui kindly extended thanks to the attendees for their supports to the innovation of BNUZ’s Entrepreneurship Training courses. He hoped that the competitors can continue to employ more creative ways of teaching, making more progresses on the innovation of its forms and contents.

The competition is BNUZ’s first competition based on the practical use of entrepreneurship experience. Following the guidelines of Ministry of Education, participants designed their own materials, such as teaching plan, ppt, and various cases. The competition is composed of two sessions, i.e.15 mins prepared presentation and Q&A with the judges.
The first presenter is Zhang Li from School of Engineering Technology. Focused on ecology studies, she made her theme as “Entrepreneurial Self-positioning and Analysis of College Students”. By analyzing the case of Ma Yun, Jiao Yadong from School of Design probed into the differences between employment and entrepreneurship. Liu Bing from School of Applied Mathematics explored the issues of raising startup funds—the biggest challenge faced by entrepreneurs while Liu Zijian from School of Foreign Languages analyzed the practice of realizing entrepreneurial plans.

After the presentation, the judges made a conclusion about their performance. They pointed out that all the participants had had excellent presentations thanks to their good preparation. They hoped that the teachers could continue to made full us of their knowledge and experience to foster more future entrepreneurs, while trying to made their courses more vivid and practical.
