Non-degree Chinese Program in School of Chinese of Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai aims mainly at developing the verbal communicative competence, with flexible and professional courses. The content emphasizes on the diversity and practicality with different types of class, naming short-term class, long-term class, summer camp and New HSK tutorial class to satisfy various demands of students.

Chinese Language Short-term Course

Recruiting objects: overseas students intend to learn Chinese and Chinese culture during summer or winter vocation.
There will be a placement test to help recognizing the students into different levels of class according to their grades before the admission.

2． Intermediate Class: Students will be able to use Chinese to communicate in daily life and express opinions with simple comments
3． Advanced Class: Students will have a large Chinese vocabulary, be able to express ideas and comments and communicate in Chinese, and be able to deliver speech with fluent Chinese
Course design:
1． Language Class
Primary Class: Efficient pinyin、Elementary Chinese
Intermediate Class: Comprehensive Chinese (Intermediate Level)
Advanced Class: Comprehensive Chinese (Advanced Level)
2． Chinese Culture Class
Chinese Painting、Calligraphy、Tai Chi、Chinese Knot、Artistic Paper Cutting、Chinese Music Appreciation etc.
Fees:
Tuition Fees: 1500 RMB per week (7 lessons per day). Teaching materials fee is not included.
Accommodation fee: 30-40 RMB per day; dormitory equipped with air-conditioner and private bathroom, two to four students per room.


Chinese Language Long-term Course
Recruiting objects: Overseas students, international friends who work in China and their families (who know nothing or very little about Chinese)

Students can select study time according to individual needs (summer and winter holidays are not included).
Course Objectives:
1． Primary Class: Students will be able to use Chinese to communicate in daily life, be able to write short practical essays, and achieve the level of new HSK2-3.
2． Intermediate Class: Students will be able to use Chinese to communicate in daily life and at work, be able to make simple comments in Chinese, and be able to write commonly-used practical essays; reach the level of new HSK3-4.
3． Advanced Class: Student will have a large Chinese vocabulary, be able to express ideas and comments and negotiate in Chinese, be able to write comparatively long Chinese essays, be able to deliver speech with fluent Chinese, and reach the level of new HSK5-6.

Recruiting objects: Middle school and college students from different countries (who know nothing or very little about Chinese)

1． Divide students into classes according to Chinese level or the results of entrance examination

5． High efficient, abundant and practical teaching activities
6． Design interesting and plentiful extracurricular activities according to characteristics of the students

Summer vocation (from July to August each year)

40-60 class hours. Students can choose study time according to individual needs.
Course Objectives:
1． Improve Chinese quickly
2． Pass the new test of HSK1-6 successfully
Course design:
Practice the written and oral examination of HSK1-6 and analyze the tests according to the demands of the students
