From April 24th to 30th, BNUZ President Qingyun Tu was invited to visit institutions of higher education in US and Canada, accompanied by Prof. Wenhao Tao, Dean of BNUZ School of Foreign Languages and Dr. Chunyan Gan, Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
On April 24th, the delegation visited Salisbury University, US and met with Vice President Prof. Diane Allen. BNUZ and SU have signed MOU in 2014 and during this visit, both sides had an in-depth communication about cooperative programs like 2+2 program, summer session, credit program and faculty training programs and reached initial agreement.
On April 27th, the delegation visited New York City University, Lehman College and was well received by their Vice President Prof. Jafari and Director of International Affairs Dr. Ellis. Prof. Tu had a brief introduction about BNUZ and expressed his sincere hope to cooperate with Lehman College. After meeting, both sides signed MOU.
On April 29th, the delegation visited Saint Mary’s University, Canada and met with the administrative management team. Both sides reviewed the cooperation in the past 12 years and both have great confidence about future.
In the night of April 29th, the delegation was invited to attend the gala dinner in honor of SMU President Dodds. Prof. Tu was also invited to give a speech at the dinner. First, prof. Tu expressed sincere thanks to President Dodds on his contribution to the cooperation between two universities. It is just under the support of President Dodds that two universities had chances to cooperate from 2+2 program to other comprehensive programs.
During the visit, Prof. Tu also had talks with our students who are currently studying in SMU and learned about their life and study in SMU.
